  • 1.  Syslog collector and remote logging

    It appears that (unlike vSphere 5.1) for vSphere 5.0, the logs are transmitted UN-encrypted.

    Can anyone confirm this (please).

    How the syslog messages are transmitted is up to how you configured your ESXi hosts. Even in 5.0 you have the option to configure SSL encryption for your syslog destination:
