Switchless 10gbe vMotion for HA

Hello

Assuming I have:

two hosts, each with a dual-port 10gb NIC

vSphere 5.5

All hardware on the vSphere HCL

But I don't have a 10gb switch

Can I direct attach using copper, bond the two pipes, and dedicate them to HA vMotion between the two hosts?

Will this work and deliver reasonable results?

Kindly respectfully note - I am uninterested in opinion or documentation. I am looking for first-hand evidence of this being successfully done in a real-world production scenario or lab.

Grateful for any accounts.

thanks

Robert
