I'm in the process of upgrading my ESX 4.1 servers to ESXi 5.0 using the stateless method. I built a Auto Deploy server, created an Image Profile, created a Host Profile from the ESXi 5.0 host after configuring all my host settings, and tested deployment with few hosts.
Everything seems to be working fine except one piece I was unable to find any information about. The Swapfile Location in my current 4.1 setup is a shared datastore in every cluster. When I set the datastore location in my test ESXi 5.0 hosts and create the Host Profile, it does not retain the setting after the host is rebooted. It shows me the default setting that the datastore is not specified and to use the same datastore as the vm.
Is there a setting for the Swapfile Location in the answer file or host profile I can set so I don't lose the setting when the host is rebooted?
