Swap File Issue?

Hi Guys Hope you can help.

I P2V'd a server to ESXi 5.5 using the latest vmware converter and kept the the VM Version at 8.

When I try to start up the VM I get the following error:

Failed to create swap file '/vmfs/volumes/5391ca58-87a88951-cf0d-2c44fd8a9f40/vmx-AMLSERVER.aml.local-2469954544-1.vswp' : Not found

Could not start VMX: msg.vmk.status.VMK_NOT_FOUND

I ssh'd to /vmfs/volumes/ and ran ls command but there is no reference to '5391ca58-87a88951-cf0d-2c44fd8a9f40'

The DataStore should be '53a1a9b3-d8a2c8bd-0df9-2c44fd8a9f40' as this is where the VM lives.

I tried adding the following to the line to the VMX file sched.swap.dir = "/vmfs/volumes/53a1a9b3-d8a2c8bd-0df9-2c44fd8a9f40/AMLSERVER.aml.local/" but after adding the VM to the inventory again I still get the error above?

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Never mind I figured it out Smiley Happy

Configuration --> Virtual Machine Swap File Location --> Edit --> Store the swapfile in the same directory as the virtual machine.

Missed this in my troubleshooting  :smileysilly:
