I'm working through an issue we're having trying to bring some new hosts online, connecting them to our EMC VNX5300 SAN via FCoE. I've got some support cases open with regards to this, but we found one interesting thing in the logs of our hosts. In the kernel log of each host, we see the following:

Each of the hosts has a QLogic BCM57800 and BCM57810 CNA card in them that we're using, and we're connecting the CNAs to a Cisco Nexus switch using Cisco SFP-H10GB-CUM3 Twinax cables. Brought this up with the VMware tech I'm working with, and he asked that we look on the IO device compatibility list (https://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/pdf/vi_io_guide.pdf) to see if the transceivers are listed there.
Looking through that list, I don't see any SFP transceivers mentioned, IO/NIC/CNA cards that used SFP+ modules. I also tried loading CentOS 7 on one of the hosts, and that server showed the same error about the transceiver.
Anyone know where I can find an actual list of supported transceivers? Or is this a red haring?
