Supermicro

Hello all,

I have a small problem. I am working with a 1U Supermicro server that is fairly new. I had no idea that the onboard RAID would give me an issue with installing ESXi.

I called Supermicro and they in turn told me it was the onboard RAID. SO I took that out of the mix and went to straight SATA disk. they are 150Gb disks, nothing special. I am able to install the ESXI on the disk but once it reboots the machine does recognize the OS.

Is there something that I am missing? Is there something that I can do??

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

It sounds like this machine is not on VMware's HCL and so is not supported - you might check out vm-help.com which might have information that will help
