Hi

Maybe, instead of installing ESXi directly on server you should try to create LAB in a box ? I have my LAB totally virtualized and can use my workstation for other purposes (playing games, blogging, video authoring etc ) and no problem with hardware compatibility

here you have what hardware I have

here how to setup LAB in a box

Thats a very good idea. But This time I want to run the ESXi directly on the hardware.

Below are a couple websites that deal with putting ESX on a white box  / motherboard combination. You'll want to keep your eyes on these  websites as more people test their motherboards with ESXi 5.0 and post  their results.
