Studying VMWare Lab to try and earn my VCP hitting road blocks

Hello everyone,

I purchased a lab consisting of 2 NAS devices, a Dell R410, Dell R610, and Dell 2850 (Running VSphere web client) to practice on and learn VMWare Management in hopes of obtaining my VCP-DCV.

That said, I am hitting some road blocks.

1) Vsphere web client seems a little laggy for some reason. I turned the Adobe Flash memory to unlimited but it just doesn't seem fluid. Any recommendations on how to improve this?

2) For some reason I have a NAS NFS datastore (Runs freenas) showing as (inactive) all of a sudden. I can manage the datastore, read the files, etc etc but it shows in VSphere as inactive.  Any idea how to fix this?

3) I am trying to unmounts the NFS datastore from Vsphere and it won't unmounts. I tried everything I can think of; shutting down all VM's; turning off HA/DRS; shutting down the physical machines; nothing seems to work.

Thank you in advance for any guidance.

you can clean the storage by turning off storageRM

/etc/init.d/storageRM stop

rescan everything

/etc/init.d/storageRM start
