Storage componont not visible on health status

Hello all,

I have a problem on my serveur ESX 5.0.0 469512,

it's a DELL Poweredge R200,

i can see all informations about storage (datastore, storage adapter...) but when i go on health status, I don't have the sensor named storage.

so i can't see if all disk are healthy.

did someone already have this type of issue ?

Thanks very much.

Cédric.

The basic dell R200 can't list this on 5.0 or higher for the mainboard (atleast I never found a solution/fix for it). Are you using a pci card or direct storage on the mainboard?

Hi nielse,

thanks for your answer,

we are using direct storage on the mainboard, do you think a bios update could fix it ?

i have the same problem on a DELL poweredge R610.

A BIOS update might resolve this, never tried it since the model is very old Smiley Happy

It should work on R610 tho, are you using the DELL customized ISO? Are you using one of the PERC controllers for that specific server?

Hi nielse,

No we didn't use DELL Customised ISO to install ESX, for the PERC i'm not sure we use it,

is it possible to install Drivers on the R610 ? if yes what is the package i have to use ? there is a lot of packge on DELL website...

Thanks.
