Storage Maintenance Need to plan for Host Shutdown.

Am planing to shutdown my all 3 host, so i need to disable Vmotion ?

can you please help me to follow proper procedure.

If you have only 3 hosts in cluster then

First shut down all vms

Disabled vmotion ( because once you power on /host and vm it will try to migrate )

Power of host

power on all hosts then power on all vm and enable vmotion

Do it step by step as this procedure:

1. Rebalance host usage on the cluster (if you have) and disable HA & DRS features

2. Shutdown all of your VMs

3. Shutdown all your hosts one by one.

4. Shutdown the storage system.

5. do your require maintenance operation

Then for Starting the infrastructure:

1. Start the storage

2. Power-On the hosts

3. Start the VMs as the startup order that you need
