Specific Portgroup cannot be seen when VM needs to add network adaptor

Hi a Portgroup is created for adding the network adaptor. In the VM, we can see the Portgroup, but when an ip address is added to the Portgroup by VMkernel, we no longer see the Portgroup when we trying to add the Portgroup to the VM. Anyone can help to explain it? Thank you

A port group used by the VMkernel cannot also be used by VMs, each port group is either for the VMkernel OR VMs, not both.
