Sometimes a VM stops network activity

Hello everyone,

      I've a cluster made of 3 ESXi 6 host.

Sometimes happens a very strange issue (happened with ESXi 5.0 version and now also after upgrade to ESXi 6).

A Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard virtual machine (but the issue happened also in the past with a Windows Server 2008 Ent) sometimes stops the network activity. It means that the network card doesn't send and doesn't receive. Other VMs on the same network in the same host work well.

Into Network and Sharing Center -> Change adapter settings, when I disable and re-enable the network card, it comes back to work well.

No errors into vSphere Client and no errors into Windows Event Viewer.

What can be that cause the issue? I can exclude hardware issues because, during the outage, the isolated VM doesn't ping other VMs running into the same host on the same network.

Here the specifications:

HP Proliant DL380 G7  with P67 (30/01/2011) BIOS version

QLogic Corp. NC382i Integrated Multi Port PCI Express Gigabit Server Adapter

VMware ESXi, 6.0.0, 2715440 - (Updated) ESXi-6.0.0-2494585-standard

Many thanks!

P
