Hi,

Can anyone tell me that how to do multipath for software iscsi?

I got to know that we can bind more then one vmkernel to sw iscsi vmhba34 but how to? is it real multipath?

any document whcih has this info?

also, can we have more then one sw issi iniatiator in a esxi?

For ESXi 5, the process is a bit simpler than the above article with references vSphere 4 (thankfully). Source: vSphere 5.0 Storage Features Part 12 - iSCSI Multipathing Enhancements. The rest of that article is spot on, especially in regards to Round Robin, etc.

You may also want to see if your SAN vendor has any recommendations. For example, Equallogic has their own plugins and setup utility.

thank you ...Can i have more then one sw iscsi adptr in esx host? is it possible to have? i mean each network port can give different sw iscsi iqn? or its only one which is os stack?
