Snapshoting a Windows VM with Microsoft VSS enabled

Is there any known limitations when taking a snapshot of a Windows 2012R2 VM (or any Windows VM for that matter) when VSS is enabled within the VM and the VSS storage location is on a different volume?  I come from a Hyper-V environment, where the Hyper-V snapshot providers were not able to support this.  I wasn't sure if it was the same with VMware.  We are running vSphere 6 (and yes it has the latest patch that fixes some VSS issues).

I heard about that limitation in hyperv but i am quite sure that there is no any limitations like this in vmware. Thanks.

is this tthe possible csv corruption issue, it's been a few years since I have touched hyper v but I think this was a csv issue ?

but to answer your question I haven't had or  read any reports of issues and I'd expect this forum to be flooded with them should they exist.

A Limit you would face for snapshots wold be if you used RDM volumes direct to the Vm (they just wouldn't be snapshotted)
