Snapshot...

I've installed esxi4 build 171294, i've 6 disks to 146gb, so i've made a raid 1+0 on a HP DL380G5 P400 SmartArray, E5440 processor 64bit.

I've configured my vm with maxim disk capcity for a file possible for a ESXI4 that is 256gb

I'm not able to take a snapshot without any OS installed...

Why?

The file size is restricted to 256GB because the incorrect block size was selected when formatting the volume.

What error are you getting on the snapshot?

Assuming there's nothing on the datastore of worth, the easiest option will be to reformat the volume with a larger block size.
