Snapshot delteion issue: CID of base disk

i am trying to clone my Vm but i cant do that due to existing snapshots. But when checked snapshot manager nopthng appears. but when i browse the datastore it seems that snapshot exists.

1. will you please let mknow how can i confirm that snapshot really exists?

2. and if they exist aat datastore then i follwoed the Kb artcile (http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1007849) and go the steps to delete that. But i dnt knw whats the CID of base and parent disk and whats there relevance with snapshot deletion ?

3. can we now just go to datastore and delete the snapshot file to fix the snapshot issue?

please suggest

Try to create another snapshot and use "delete all" to delete the snapshot. if the snapshot still exists, it is easier just copy the disk instead of fixing the snapshot. You can use converter or vmkfstools to copy the disks.
