Snapshot Deletion Problem - Unable to access file <unspecified filename> since it is locked.

Guys,

I'm having a problem to delete a snapshot from vSphere console. I'm running with vSphere v5.1.

I had tried to recreate the snapshot and perform full deletion and its appears the same. I also restarted the Management Agents on the ESXi host where the VM was parked. But the problem still remain the same. Any thought and helpful that might be help to resolve this issue for me?

My backup keep failing because the snapshot unable to remove from the host.

Remove all snapshots

I have refer to the articles earlier. But I need to know what is the impact once I'm restarting the service on the ESX via SSH. Since the host holding most critical servers inside my environment.

In vSphere Client, you can go to Tasks and Events tab of an ESXi host and it will shot you the tasks. It can be a vMotion activity, VM snapshot creation, power on or power off operation of VM, etc.
