Snaphot error:File <uspecified filename> is larger than th emaximum size supported by datastore

I'm getting the following error.

File <uspecified filename> is larger than th emaximum size supported by datastore

My vm is 1024gb, my block size is 4mb and i have 5.05 tb of free space. Browsing the datastore I can see that there is an incomplete snapshot file that is 2gigs in size. I did the create snapshots in different location from http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=100292... but still same problem. Thanks for any help

The virtual disk is too large to create a snapshot on a 4MB block size datastore. The max. vmdk size is 1.016 GB.

see "Calculating the overhead required by snapshot files" in http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1012384
