Smartd modifications

Greetings all,

All my ESXi heads are sending smartd messages to our centralized SYSLOG server about devices that are "Not an ATA SMART device."  I'd like to not totally stop smartd on the heads, but modify it somehow to ignore these none SMART devices.   If I disable smartd I am worried I might miss a legitimate warning/error message.  Anyone had any experience with adjusting smartd or the watchdog.sh file?

The exact message is:

smartd:  libsmartsata:  Not an ATA SMART device:t10.Dell___Internal_Dual_SD_______0123456789AB

or

smartd:  libsmartsata: Not an ATA SMART device:naa.624a937047b14ad2c3669f3100011014

Well.  I've decided just to add a cronjob.  It will start smartd every 4 hours, it will run 15 minutes or so, then it will stop.  That way I will have some monitoring/warning on events, but not the current deluge of smartd messages.   Not the best solution ... but its something.  Thanks to everyone that looked.
