Dear all, I have a new Dell T710 and I'm having slow response to the ESXi 4.1 in terms of mouse cursor response and even loading of the screen. Below are what I have done.
1) Enable DRAC
2) Setup RAID5
3) Install ESXi 5
4) Setup Windows 2008 R2 VM but encounter slow performance issue
5) Setup ESXi 4 with Dell drivers (VMware-ESXi-4.1.0-Update2-502767-Dell-A00-Installable.iso)
6) Setup Windows 2008 R2 VM but aain encounter slow performance issue
Silly question, do you have vmware tools installed?

In addition to installing VMware Tools, take a look at http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1016770 to see how to install the WDDM display drivers manually.
André
VMware Tools has been installed.
Thanks the WDDM driver did help resolve the issue but I'm curious on this sentence that says "Unless there is an explicit requirement for enhanced graphics, the preferred driver for Windows Server 2008 R2 is the Microsoft-provided VESA driver."
So the normal VESA driver should be good enough ?
