Slow Migrating from local disks to SAN

Hi

I have a problem with 2 x HP BL 460c, with 2 x 76 GB(Raid 1), 30 GB memory.

The SAN is a HP EVA 4000 - Fibre Channel.

The problem is that when i am migrating a VM(10GB size) from the local disks(At the HP BL 460c) to the SAN, it takes 2-3 hours to complete.

If i migrate the same VM from the SAN to the local disks it only takes 10min.

If i try to upload the same VM with the datastore manager, from a local PC, it takes about 12min.

I cant really fingre why it takes so long time to move it from the local disks?

Any hints?

Are they Thin Provisioned disks? If so, the latest September patches address this.

Have you performed firmware updates on your Blades yet? Their are multiple firmware updates for that model's controller. I'd start their first.
