Hello all,
I wonder if in a single server configuration (just essentials with no vCenter connection, fail safe or other), it is safe to STOP the following services running on their ports:
- 427 CIM Server
- 902 VMware vCenter Agent
- 5988 Server for CIM
- 5989 CIM Secure Server
- 8300 Fault Tolerance
This because I'd like to reduce the services exposed to the external network.
Do you have any advice on this?
Or it's the same security to put those services behind an allowedip firewall rule?
