Single host with LACP

I have playing a little with LACP on esxi 5.5 and a HP procurve switch and have found out that it is not possible without a vCenter and configuring it through the web client with a distributed switch. I had hoped that it would be possible in esxi 6 with out a distributed switch.

Have any of you worked with it?

LACP ist still not available for esxi 6.

LACP is still only available with an Enterprise Plus license.

Btw dvSwitches are managed centrally by the vCenter and not by the esx server like the vSwitch does.

LACP is only available with distributed vSwitches, which first of all requires a vCenter server, and secondly the Web Client for configuration since the Windows C# GUI client is scheduled to be phased out (many other new features are only available in the Web Client as well).

The standard vSwitch that you can use with a standalone host only supports static LAG/etherchannel.
