Show Host Name in VShpere

Hi I have 2 host in our VSphere Cluster currently the show as IP Addresses when I expand the Cluster. I checked in the Configuration tab => DNS and Routing to make sure the Name was set. How can I make Vsphere show the name instead of the IP Address? Thanks in advance.

I believe these were added using the IP Addresses at the time. Is there a way to change them to show the FQDN?

The above solution is correct.  The display name of the hosts will be however they have been added or connected to the vCenter Server.  So if you used IP address when adding them to the cluster, they will show IP, if you use FQDN, they will show the FQDN.

So the only solution is to remove the host and readd them using the FQDN.  OK thanks for the fast replies.

you can disconnect and remove, then add them back as FQDN, which should resolve the issue
