Several unused sesparse files in VM folder, VM won´t snapshot

Hello.

We have Veeam Backup and replication taking daily backups of our environment,

Last night, as it seems from the Veeam logs, the datastore ran out of space while a snapshot for one VM with 4 disks  was being created.

Problem arose on second disk, it seems it retried the process 4 times with the same result.
The space issue is reolved but the VM now sits with 4 different "sesparse"-vmdks for one of the VM:s disks.

There are no Snapshots listed and the consolidate option is grayed out.
If i check settings, The VM runs on base disks, and no disks have independent mode listed.

The VM will not snapshot, following errors occour:

-An error occurred while taking a snapshot: A required file was not found. An error occurred while saving snapshot file -"/vmfs/volumes/59d66cdd-74a6a994-f5c8-405cfdeefb41/[vm_name]/[vm_name]Snapshot2781.vmsn".An error occurred while saving -the snapshot: A required file was not found.

Are te sesparse disks being used at all in this scenario?
Can they be deleted?

Any ideas would be greaty appriciated.

Best Regards
Bj

Hard to say without any details. If the issue is still present, then please run ls -lisa > filelist.txt in the VM's folder, and attach the filelist.txt as well as the VM's .vmx file (compressed as a .zip archive) to your next reply.
