Sequence of migration for storage vMotion ?

Hi,

I am migrating a couple of VM from a datastore to another one.

I notice that different VMs get different status, like:

Copying Virtual Machine Files

Migrating the active state of Virtual Machine

Resources currently in used by other operations.. Waiting

My understanding is that it should be migrating the active state of VM and then copying VM files.  However, for one VM, it is already 67% in progress but status is still "Migrating the active state of Virtual Machine".

Is there any article mentions the details of Storage vMotion ?

Cheers

This is because per host we have 2 concurrent storage vMotion migration limits, so if you trigger more, system will put those in queue.

regarding documentation, please refer following PDF, this technical white paper is for performance and best practice, but it does have quite nice explanation given about Storage Migration and VM memory migration.
