Secondary Physical Network Adapter not seen in ESXi + vSphere Client.

Hi All,

ive got an HP ML 115 server, installed ESXi barebones on it, i recently installed another network card, to start playing around with load balancing and fail overs. For some reason i cant add it, well when i go to try and add it, Networking>Properties>Network Adapters.....ADD, it doesnt show....

Can anyone shed some light on why this is happening, could it be that its an old network adapter or something to do with a support driver?

Kind regards

PS..the adapter is connected to my local physical switch and the light is on, so it is physically working.

Thanx

Francois

Most hardware is plug-n-play with ESXi.  Check the list here for what ESXi can recognize for NICs and storage - http://www.vm-help.com/esx40i/Hardware_support.php.
