Second VM does not boot from CD or hard drive

I just installed the vSphere Hypervisor ESXi 5.0 on my Acer laptop and it installedy cleanly. I then created the first VM by booting off the vSphere
Client disk drive by setting the VM CD/DVD drive 1 to point to the client device. However, when I try to do the same for the second VM, it always tries to boot from the network via the PXE server. How can get the second VM also to boot from the client disk drive or even from host server CD/DVD drive? Changing the boot order in the host does not seem to help either.

Hai,

Change the boot options in 1st Vm, It should not get boot from cd/dvd rom. Then try to boot the 2nd Vm to boot from cd/dvd rom.

Make sure you disconnect the CD-ROM from VM 1.  On VM 2 make sure the the tickbox "connected" is ticked for the virtual CD-ROM.
