SNMP - Simple Network management protocol.

It used to monitor the ESXi and vitual machine status, like memory usage, cpu usage, hardware failures and datastore issue, any alerts and send the traps to monitoring server or via email to you.

NTP:- Network Time protocol

It used to configure time or the server.
