SMP Drive for 2008 and Up

I think I know the answer, but with Server 2008 and 2008 R2, when going from one vCPU to 2 or more, there is no more reason to update the ACPI drive to multiprocessor right?  I know 2003 server you needed to but I wanted to triple check the new OS'..

There is one kernel only and it is designed to work with multiproc systesms. You don't need to do anything on 2008 and later.

Phew.  I'm not sure why I thought of this today... I've been working with these OS' forever now and have never added any SMP processor before...  Most likely because I knew you didn't need to... But something made me want to ask.

Thanks!
