SAS MPIO with Vsphere 7 Standard License

Hello!

I have an ESXi (7.0.3) host (ProLiant DL380 Gen 10) and an HP MSA 2062 12 GB SAS storage system.
Can I use the third-party multipathing feature to connect them having the vsphere 7 standard license?
Which kind of HBAs do I need to use?

Thank you in advance.

Look for compatibility and requirements on third-party documentation when you want to use third-party solution or plugin.

Also for SAS device you need SAS HBA such as Smart Array Controller with external ports.

Thanks for reply!

But will my Standard License allow me to create such a configuration? The fact is that there is no "MPIO/Third-Party Multi-Pathing" option in the product features menu on the Assign License page of Vcenter. Enterprise licensed product has it.

VMware vSphere Product Line Comparison

Read the above document and also licensing is different for each third-party solution.

As an example: you need to PowerPath Management Appliance for add license to your ESXi host.
