Hi everyone, need some urgent help please.
I deployed ESXi 8 and left the vswitch0 as default attached to my 2.5gbps NIC. All is fine when i test VM to VM network speed using iperf and constantly get close to max 10gbps between 2 VMs (1 Linux RHEL and the other Windows 11) both using vmxnet set at 10gbps.
However, on the Linux VM i have SAMBA advertising some shares on my LAN and when I try to copy a file form the samba share to the W11 VM, I only get speeds close to 2.5gbps which is the physical NIC. Is this normal?
Both the VMs are on the same VLAN and vSwitch.
