Hello
I have a question to clarify the type of ESXi Datastore supported to use vmdk files with several Oracle RAC VMs running on vSphere 7 that need to share volumes.
I've been told that multi writer share VMDK disks is only supported with FC SAN
As we are using DELL Compellent, is it supported to configure Oracle RAC VMs using share VMDK disk on ISCSI SAN (Datastore)?
Thanks for your reply
Robert
Hi @Robert30
The process of configuring an Oracle RAC cluster on a vSAN datastore needs to be done once per RAC cluster at creation time. This requires these steps:

I may not have expressed myself badly, but I'm not using VSAN
My question is only about iSCSI SAN Datastore (with DELL storage) and ESXi Servers) supported
We need to run oracle VMs and would like use for oracle share disk VMDK disk rather RDM disk
We know it's supported with FC Datastore , but is it also supported with iSCSI Datastore
Regards
No I didn't get ans answer to know if ISCSI Datastore is supported for this configuration
