Restore VM

Hello

I have a Dell Server with 2 HDD inside: one is 1 TB HDD hosting some VM's. One of these VM is a Ubuntu running just as a NAS.

NAS storage is inside a second HDD attached to the Ubuntu VM as a RAW DEVICE.

Now... the 1 TB HDD is broken, but I have a copy of the .vmx and .vmdk

I have to replace the disk, install ESXi, then... how can I create again the Ubuntu VM starting from vmx and vmdk and attach again the raw device?

Thanks

Ignore the vmdk. Create new VM and attach the existing raw device.

Yes, but I would like to avoid to rebuild from scratch the VM....

the VM has two disk, one with Ubuntu and the second as raw device with data.
