Hi,
i need to limit the datastore quota for a specific group, ex. they can only allocate 1TB of 10 TB datastore for their vm's.
CPU and RAM is possible with ressource pools, but how can i achieve this with datastores?
what you are asking for can be easily achieved in vRealize Automation or vCloud Director.
But in vSphere environment, you got to achieve this by using roles and permissions, where you create separate datastore with limited storage space and assign permission to those users who you want not to exceed storage space utilisation after certain limit. This way they won't see all the datastores and they won't be able to use all the space.

Is this possible in vRealize Automation 8?
Thanks
