Can we pull report of esxi enviorment.
Report should state :
No. of host in cluster
No. of VMs.
CPU and Memory ratio of host and virtual mahine.
how much memory is utilised and how much is free in a cluster.
Two questions
What output do you want this report in
Is power cli ok
Thanks
yeah power cli would be ok.
excel sheet or any format would be ok.
Have a look at vCheck, it has everything you need and is built up on modules so you can simply pick the ones you want;
http://www.virtu-al.net/vcheck-pluginsheaders/vcheck/
I would agree vcheck would provide everything you want and can output to csv. If you want to do something manual then you might want to check my power cli basic blog links:
Powercli Basics Part 1 | blog.jgriffiths.org
Powercli Basics Part 2 | blog.jgriffiths.org
No. of host in cluster - Can be found using the math in my blog entries
No. of VMs. - Also can be found using math in blog entry with get-vm
CPU and Memory ratio of host and virtual mahine. - Listed in my blog entry
how much memory is utilised and how much is free in a cluster. - This can be a bit hard but you can use the math in my blog post as well.
I will again say that if you can use vcheck I would do it... a much better product.

you can get all the information from Vcenter itself
Hi
Welcome to the communities.
I assume you want to monitor your VM and services running on it
Can do it two way with inbuilt resource monitoring or 3rd party tools.
You should use some VMware performance monitoring tools for checking all performance details of your esxi or VMware environment. I am using MindArray IPM's Vmware monitoring tools for improving performance of esxi network as well as to check detailed report about performance of esxi environment.
