Hello..
I have a very critical problem in my virtual machine.
Some times it gets a dead status.(network issue - there is many machine normal but only this machine has issue)
Suddenly network ping to problem vm fail.
But, usual status is normal.
VMkernel : VMware ESXi 5.5 U2 2068190
Guest OS : Windows 2003
VMware tools version : Latest (remembered.. 9.4.x)
Network Adapter : E1000
Hardware : HP ProLiant DL580 G8
Problem period : once a 2 day(hardly same period, but time little different)
History : VM that migrated to VMware Infrastructure form physical server.
I reinstall VMware-tools(clean install), but symptom is same as before.
When obstacle(error) is occurred, symptom is as in the following.
Have you tried this ! Issue may be with DLL files.
Thank you for replay.
I already tried this, but there is no DLL log that same file but different version.
So I tried reinstall VMware-tools(clean install). But result is same.
One thing is that when operating this machine with VMware-tools service status stopped, then obstacle not happen.
So I guess it related VMware-tools issue.
Have you tried tools from below location ? for VMware ESXi 5.5 U2 2068190
https://packages.vmware.com/tools/esx/5.5u2/windows/index.html
Is there any difference between install file you recommended and default install version?
The link I mentioned above is specific for ESXi 5.5 U2 2068190 tools,
Default tools can work with 5.5 u1,u2 but when you have tools issue, its recommended to install specific tools with build number perspective for primary workaround. See esxi build number and tools image.
Lets give a try with uninstall old tools and try these. Choose x86 or x64 according to guest OS kernel platform.
Perform a cleanup after uninstalling the tools, check the steps in the similar article.
Exception 0xc0000005 (access violation) has occurred when starting VM
I also installed vmware tools that you recommend.
But nothing changed..(Same symptoms as before)
I found it below.
current VMware Tools version is 9.4.10
Maybe, it caused the problem I think.
But we must upgrade ESXi for apply this patch.
Anyone experienced this problem?
