Remove VIB from ISO

Is it possible to remove VIB files directly from an ISO before uploading it to the UM repository? I'm trying to upgrade from 5.0 to 5.5 and I'm getting a conflict error for 2 VIBs. The message says to remove the VIBs or use Image Builder, and I would prefer to remove the VIBs. When I removed them from the ISO using WinISO, I was unable to upload the modified ISO because it was seen as corrupted.

Thanks.

VMWare Environment: vSphere 7.0, EQ PS6210 SANs, Dell R730 Hosts, dedicated Dell switches w/ separate vlans for vmotion and iscsi.

As it says you should use image builder, with image builder you can remove VIB's from images if you want also not just add then export the image properly.  If you are having an issue using the default software image provided by VMware I would look at seeing if your hardware vendor has a image specifically for their hardware as that normally only includes VIB's for their hardware components.

Thanks. I just checked the Dell site and they have one for the PE servers we're using, so I'll try that one out first. Thanks for the tip.
