Remote TSM (SSH) keep defaulting back to original setting after reboot

I am using ESXi 5 Update 1 build 623860 on my server now.

I have encountered a very strange and irritating problem on my server in regards to turning on remote TSM access (SSH).

Using VMware VSphere Client i can logged into my ESXi 5 server, i go to Configuration --> Security Profile --> and then clicked on Properties on the top-right corner. i select SSH and then clicked on Options, I selected the option of Start and Stop with Host and click on the Start button to run SSH service, i am able to SSH into my ESXI 5 server using putty.

But when i shutdown and start or reboot my ESXI 5 server, the SSH service is stop and the option have also defaulted back to Start and Stop Manually and i have to manually start the SSH service again...i tried to select the option of  Start and Stop with Host again but when i reboot my server it will default back to the same setting of Start and Stop Manually again. i tried this of several times and the result is still the same.

Is this a bug or a normal behaviour for VMware ESXi 5 ?

Thanks for the help in advance Smiley Happy

Strange... in my case it works.

But of course you must wait the the settings are written on the banks... this is scheduled each hour.

Hi all,

I have similar problem,

kind of opposite.

Just I changed in the policy start with host and now i can not put it back to manual-

Whenever I start the server this service starts because policy is overwritten somewhere else that I dont know.
