Recent I asked by my customer, why local storage infra ESXi host failure rates are more than SAN storage infra? We think about the expect main reason is that local stoarge which holds VMs store rather than store outside, so there will have many IO via local storage VMkernel to process, and will have potential risk to casue hardware issue for ESXi . ls that true?
In addition to store, Are there other factor lead to this phenonenon ?
ls there have offical document or useful website to prove it ?
