Just installed my 1st Esxi 7 and noticed spacing missing and found it was consumed by the VMFSL partition. Are they and drawbacks to reducing the VMFSL file size down to something like 8GB? 120GB Seems like a crazy initial amount from reading it looks like I have to do a fresh install to reduce it back down.

Installed version 7.0.1 when I hit SHIFT+O I get the above output. I attempted to append autoPartitionOSDataSize=24576 on the 1st boot but my VMFSL is still 120GB
Nevermind figured it out its initial boot of install media 🙄
during the boot from USB drive ? If I do it there then my USB drive just boots up ESXI and that's it.
What am I doing wrong ?
The option to change the partition size is only available during installation. Please see https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/81166 for supported settings.
