Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 guests in ESXi 5.5 update 1

The Guest OS Install Guide indicates that RHEL 7 guests are supported by ESXi 5.5 update 1 but RHEL 7 is not listed as a guest OS when building a new VM. I built a RHEL 7 VM by selecting the 64-bit RHEL 6 guest OS and have not had any problems. Has anyone had a similar experience?

I have tried this in my lab and I see the same thing .

Selecting RHEL 7 as a guest operating system is available in Web Client . See Screenshot below
