Recover VM host with .vmsn file alone

Is it possible to recover a VM with the .vmsn snapshot alone?

Unfortunately no. What files do you have in the Virtual Machine folder? What happened?

Certainly.

Only the .vmsn snapshot file was saved to another location and the vm host was removed, along with the data store.  The vm host was recreated.  It was then realized that information from the original vm host was needed and it is necessary to recover the original host.  We have only the .vmsn file from the original host.

Without disk files you won't be able to recover the VM. Try restoring from backup if you have good backup for the server.
