Recover Filestore/VM from corrupted ESXi Install?

My setup:   Windows7, running Workstation 12, hosting ESXi 6 (as a VM), installed on a dedicated SSD drive, including the filestore.

The problem:  A partition manager corrupted the partition table on the SSD drive, and now I can't boot the ESXi VM within workstation.    It gives the error "BANK6:  Not a VMware Boot Bank".

According to my googling, this kind of partition corruption is not easily resolved, and that's ok.   I'd just like to recover a couple of VMs from the filestore.

Is there any way I could mount the offline filestore, and recover my VM files?    The next step would be to rebuild my ESXI VM, or just import them into workstation - Doesn't matter, and I'm happy either way.

Any guidance appreciated.
