Ram perfomance in windows guest machine

I'm using ESXi 5.5 Hypervisor system and I know in Windows guest machine task manager is not reliable and it doesn't give proper information to memory usage, so I ask myself how to check how much ram really my Windows 2000/2003/2008 is using; so I can reduce or increase ram size to vm.

Can you suggest me Vmware article please?

hello

i don't know if its a standalone of licensed vsphere environment but vRealize operations can see if the VM is undersized or over committed

or try a free vm health monitoring tool. there are alot out there

vm turbo

solarwinds

etc..

ESXTOP command could help you to get actual memory usage of VMs.

Refer section 3.1 and 3.2 in Interpreting esxtop Statistics
