RDM for second disk

We are converting a server that has 2 disks. The second disk is stored on an NFS volume and we want to convert the server to a VM with the second disk on a RDM. How would we do this?

Use SAN or local storage but not NFS with RDM

Unable to add a physical mode disk mapping (RDM) to a virtual machine stored on an NFS datastore

http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1001856

http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vsphere4/r40_u1/vsp_40_u1_esx_server_config.pdf

Chapter 10:

"Raw device mapping (RDM) provides a mechanism for a virtual machine to have direct access to a LUN on

the physical storage subsystem (Fibre Channel or iSCSI only). "

Hope that helps
