Hi,
I recently bought an HP Proliant server - ML310e Gen8v2 QC 3.10GHz, to give it its Sunday name.
This machine has one 1 TB disk and two x 2TB disks, and a RAID controller: Dynamic Smart Array B120i.
My aim is to get RAID1 on the two larger disks, and use the third as a backup, is this feasible? I want four VMs on the machine.
A colleague who has some ESXi knowledge, tells me that it's not possible to install the scratch partition on a SATA drive which also has VMs on it.
Any advice as to how to get this set up, gratefully received.
