RAID support - LSI 9341 and SATA drives

Hi everyone,

I have server with fake-RAID, which is unsupported by ESXi. I have to set up RAID and seller of server offer LSI 9341 (with internal SFF8643 port), however the drives is SATA. Is it supported by ESXi, if the drives will be connected by SATA(x4)-mSAS cable to the controller?

Thanks for any helpful reply.

Check your hardware compatibility on VMware compatibility hardware portal always.

I checked compatibility - it's ok, however it doesn't work. I connected this controller, made virtual volume based on RAID1 (with initialization) and now I trying to install ESXi 5.5, which shows USB drive only. Any idea?
