While debugging cloning issues originating from 7.0U3i updates I traced a vpxd -> vpxa -> hostd path that eventually ended with a log line
2022-12-12T07:27:46.776Z error hostd[2367193] [Originator@6876 sub=Hostsvc opID=4352f0af-01-f4-bab8 user=vpxuser:<censored>] OpaqueNetworkMgrImpl::SendMsg: Opaque network IPC socket closed
So, AFAIK IPC socket is a unix pipe or network socket to another process (hence other than hostd) so it might be that there's more told about it somewhere, but where to look at and what's that facility after all?
ps. Our Horizon infrastructure started to stagger after the latest updates - lots of failed clones. However it's not known where the issue actually lies as not every updated host is affected but only a subset of them.
