The default polling interval is set to 30 minutes. Any way to change this (and make it persistent across reboots)?

What's the reason for increasing the polling interval?
I don't want my disks waking up every 30 minutes? They are set to spin down.
Thanks for the reason. I've reached out to some folks internally and it is currently not possible to change the polling interval for smartd. I've gone ahead and filed a feature request as it seems like a useful thing to have. Thanks
